Description: Comparative study of ancient warfare and hegemony in two or more civilizations of the ancient world. Perspectives may include social and political contexts, gender and war, acquisition of empire, reli- gious wars, and weapons, strategies and tactics in theory and practice. Study of primary source material in texts and visual arts.
