Description: The design, synthesis, and evaluation of nucleotides with novel hydrogen-bonding capabilities as well as oligonucleotides capable of regulating gene expres- sion. Discussion of ribonucleic acid catalysis, includ- ing possible catalytic functions that have not yet been determined. Students who present a seminar or sub- mit a term paper receive a letter grade; other students receive a Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) grade. Course is repeatable. Switzer
