Prerequisites: graduate standing in Bioengineering or consent of instructor
Description: Emphasizes biophysical and engineering concepts intrinsic to spe- cific topics at the cellular and molecular level. Includes receptor-ligand dynamics in cell signaling and function; DNA replication and RNA processing; cellular and protein sorting; control of gene expres- sion; membrane structure, transport and traffic; bio- logical signal transduction; and mechanics of cell divi- sion.
Credit: May be taken Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) with consent of instructor and graduate advisor.
