Description: Examines contemporary societies of southern Africa. Focuses on changes and continuities since the end of apartheid. Topics include transforma- tions in ethnic and racial identity and classification; postapartheid class formation and neoliberalism; labor migration and immigration; HIV/AIDS; land reform, resettlement, and spatial transformation; tourism; and conservation.
