Description: Examines cultural themes from a transatlantic perspective, through study of literature, film, and visu- al arts. Topics include chronicles of the conquest, cul- tures of the baroque, religious traditions and conflicts, the incorporation of popular culture into the literary tradition, contemporary writers, and cinema. Course is conducted in English.
