Description: A study of nineteenth-century Italian Comparative Literature and Foreign Languages / Italian Studies / Russian Studies literature. Emphasis on the pre-Unification, “Risorgimento,” period is through the works of Foscolo, Leopardi, Pellico and Manzoni. No knowl- edge of Italian is required.
