Description: A historical examination of selected Native American groups in the Southeast from precontact to the present. Examines the relationship of Southeastern Indians to Europeans and Africans, various colonial powers, and the U.S. government. Considers cultural change, cre- ativity, and continuity in the context of trade, contact, and colonialism.
