Description: This course exam- ines the interdependence between personal charac- teristics. African American culture, and the social con- ditions which foster the Black experience. Group membership, life styles, role factors, and situational settings as social norms will be explored in order to understand the uniqueness of the Black experience. Cross-listed with PSYC 168. Fulfills the Social Sciences requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
