Description: Survey and analysis of cinematic works by and/or about Asian Americans. Topics include studies of forms and genres; viewing and interpretive practices; the conditions of production, distribution, and reception; as well as thematic con- cerns such as history and memory, the politics of identity, community, social justice, gender, and sexual- ity. Fulfills the Humanities requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
