Description: Explores histori- cal and contemporary relationships between technolo- gy and literacy from those involving clay tablets to those involving the Internet and digital media. Emphasis is on connections between social contexts of literacy practices, such as reading, writing, and lan- guage learning, and current technologies, such as video, the web, and interactive media.
