Description: Applies the theories and methods covered in the ECON 200A, ECON 200B, ECON 200C and ECON 201A, ECON 201B, ECON 201C sequences to real-world problems, including (1) the specification of functional form and the estimation of supply and demand systems, (2) index number theory and the measurement of infla- tion, the cost of living, output, and other macroeco- nomic phenomena, (3) computable general equilibri- um models, (4) programming methods, (5) problems of aggregating over agents and commodities, and (6) the measurement of economic phenomena like pro- ductivity, poverty, income and wealth distribution, technical and allocative inefficiency, and input substi- tutability.
