Description: Explores bioanalytical separa- tion and detection techniques. Topics include liquid chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, field flow fractionation, flow cytometry, multidimensional or mul- tiplexed chromatography, microfluidics, mass spec- trometry, biological sample preparation, and biosen- sors. Emphasis is on development of new bioanalytical techniques for detection of pathogens and study of pathogen-host interactions. Students who present a seminar receive a letter grade; other students receive a Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) grade. Course is repeatable. Zhong
