Vaishnavi Krishnamurthy

I graduated from UCR in June 2004. I was working in the Networking lab under the guidance of Prof. Michalis Faloutsos.

Research Work

My most recent paper Reducing Large Internet Topologies for Faster Simulations was published in the Networking Conference 2005 in Waterloo, Canada.

My first research paper Sampling Internet Topologies: How Small Can We Go? co-authored by Junhong Sun, Michalis Faloutsos and Leslie Tauro, was published in International Conference of Internet Computing Proceedings, June 2003.

In this paper, we have presented various novel methods to reduce or sample the Internet Graph. We selected some real inter-domain topology instances from the NLANR website for this purpose. This site contains real AS instances from November 1997 to January 2000. I have provided a couple of more recent topology instances in list format here.

ASconnlist.20000531
ASconnlist.20000915
ASconnlist.20001012
ASconnlist.20010101
ASconnlist.20010217
ASconnlist.20010312
ASconnlist.20020201
ASconnlist.20020204
ASconnlist.20020209

Each instance is named according to its format and the date. ASconnlist implies that the topology instance is of list format, that is, the AS id followed by the list of all the AS id's it is connected to. The 8 digit number in the name of the file represents the date it was collected on. For example, 20000531 indicates that the data was collected on May 31, 2000.
