• Serial cable
• Computer with Internet connection and a free serial port
• Two 5Volt batteries

1) Compile monitor and interface code using Microsoft Visual C++. You should now have interface.exe and monitor.exe.

2) Connect RIP connector circuit to serial port (com1 is currently used in program) to computer.

3) Plug in 5Volt batteries to RIP connector circuit and user interface.

4) Turn the switch on for the RIP connector circuit and off for the user interface circuit. (LED lighted means switch is on).

5) Run interface.exe and select menu choices one and two. You should now have one password and one message stored in the user interface

6) Turn off interface.exe and turn on monitor.exe. Leave on.

7) Turn the switch off for RIP connector circuit and on for the interface circuit. (A big pain in the butt, I know!).

8) Press the start button of the user interface. Enter the password you type in step 5. You should now see the message you entered. Press the send button. The pc you are running monitor.exe should now display the email address and email message. Check your email.

These steps should be enough to get you familiar on how RIP V2.0 works. ENJOY!!!!
