Theodoros Lappas

I am a PhD Graduate from the Dept. of Computer and Science Engineering at the University of California, Riverside (UCR). While in UCR, I was a member of the Database Lab, with Professors Dimitrios Gunopulos and Vassilis Tsotras. The title of my thesis is "Algorithmic Challenges in Social Media Search". My research focuses on Text & Web mining, Information Retrieval and Social Networks. I am currently a post-doc in the Data Management Lab at Boston University, working with Professor Evimaria Terzi on opinionated text and social networks.
