The Systems and Security Research Laboratory (SSRL) conducts research in the practical and theoretical aspects of systems design and implementation, with a special focus on security. Personnel from the SSRL play a central role in both the DARPA-funded SWiFT project on Secure Wireless Fault-tolerant Tunable networks, as well as in an on-going research collaboration with the Tata Consultancy Services - Research Laboratory established for this purpose. Current research projects cover a variety of areas, including computer security, spatial and moving-object databases, wireless and wireline networks, data dissemination, and web caching.
