07:00 to 08:00 am Travel to Serengeti Stop Over (Approx. 40 km)
The place is situated along Mwanza Musoma Road on the edge of Serengeti National Park. Lake Victoria, the second largest lake in the world is within a walking distance from Serengeti Stop Over. A variety of cultural activities being organized; history, culture, fishing, visiting traditional healer.s house etc will give you opportunities to experience Tanzania and therefore enrich Serengeti safari with lake and people for the people.
08:00 to 09:00 am Breakfast at Serengeti Stop Over
You will have your breakfast while overlooking the Serengeti in one of our resting bandas designed to match the Sukuma style.

09:00 to 10:00am Tour to Lake Victoria
It takes approximately 20 minutes to walk and 5 minutes by car from Serengeti Stop Over to the lake shore. At the lake they will see fishermen bring to the shore their night catch and buyers negotiating their deals. Women and children will be serving tea right their as preparations for next fishing trip begins. Our guide will explain to you the history, ecology and geology and the economic importance of the lake relating it with Sukuma culture.

10:00 to 11:00am Traditional canoeing
Local fishermen who will be singing as they row will conduct a canoe trip. They will show and tell you different traditional fishing methods. Each canoe carries 3 guests and 3 other people. You will see a number of water birds. Many birds are indigenous to this area and therefore not easily seen in Serengeti.

11:00 to 11:30am Tour to sukuma traditional boma
The Sukuma boma represents Sukuma life. Inside the boma, which is surrounded by euphorbia fence, they will see different huts and objects. Interpretation will be provided. This makes possible for you to combine game viewing and cultural adventures.

11:30 to 12:00 noon Visit Traditional healer compound
The healers practice herbal healing and different divination rituals, which stem from a long history of Sukuma. They are consulted by ailments ranging from malaria, psychological problems to good luck medicines. They combine knowledge of local plants and Sukuma ancestral beliefs with experience in making medicines to provide remedies, amulets and long-term cure.

12:00 to 13:00 PM LUNCH
At the restaurant nicknamed Sato for its famous tilapia from Lake Victoria. Ugali- stiff porridge and other traditional cuisine are prepared. Most food is bought locally. Our staff will carter for your wishes. Snack menu is also available.
Meal prices range from US$ 3 to 8.
13:00 to 14:00 PM Traditional dances
Dancing is a vital part of Sukuma life. The Sukuma are famous throughout Tanzania for their innovative dancing styles. Dancer\ s continue to perform and compete in annual competitions, creating new costumes and using new and old dances just as their an\ cestors did over a hundred years ago. Don.t miss this opportunity.
14:00 to 15:00 PM Excursion to Kamani Indigenous Forest
The forest is in Mkula Village, 15 km from Serengeti Stop Over. If you are strong enough you can bike. The forest survived the indiscriminate deforestation practiced by people. The tour starts at the throne stone and then our guide will take you around the forest. You will experience the influence of human activities to the forest and efforts being made to restore it back.

The tour will end up in a Sukuma family leaving nearby where you will participate in different house chores such as cow milking, milk curdling, pounding cassava/rice/maize and cooking. This could be the only chance for you to sample traditional food and experience true village life.

15:00 to 15:30 PM Travel back to Serengeti Stop Over
Take your final pictures and say goodbye to traditional dancers and people of the village. You can contribute to their development by visiting gift shop at Serengeti Stop Over.
16:00 PM Leave for Kirawira/Grumet Camp
On your way back to the camp you will be able to see game you might have missed on previous game drives. Enjoy your stay and .....
