"I am a new assistant professor to join University of Houston starting
1/1/2018. I am looking for strong PhD students to join my research
group in the department of computer science. My research interests
include the broad areas of high performance computing, numerical
algorithms/software, big data analytics, and parallel/distributed
systems. Students with strong interests and backgrounds in applied
mathematics and computer science/engineering are welcome to apply. In
particular, linear algebra, calculus, probability and statistics,
C/C++/Fortran programming, GPGPU and other accelerating technologies
are among the most useful skills.  Students will be fully funded via
