CS 8 : Introduction to Computing

General Policy

 
  • 20 points in each lab. 5 points for attendance.15 points for lab assignments.
  • You must show up within the first 20 minutes of the lab to receive the attendance points.
  • The lab assignments must be done in the lab and graded by the TA during lab hours. Emailing your assignment is not acceptable.
  • No late lab assignments will be accepted without a doctor's note or other evidence of a serious situation which prevented you from showing up.
  • You can have a correction on the score of a lab assignment within two weeks after the lab. After two weeks of a lab the score is no more editable.
  • When sending emails to the TA, please use your UCR email address and include your full name and student ID.

Makeup Policy

 
  • Inform me if you know that you can not attend a lab. I will try to arrange another lab so that you can have the attendance point.
  • If you have a doctor's notes or other verifications to show that you have serious reasons, you can make up the missing lab  without the attendance points, i.e, you can get 15 points at most.
  • Makeup lab should be finished within two weeks of the scheduled date.
  • Any other reason will not be considered to give a makeup lab.

    • Click on the "" in the left corner and click on the "Run programs(or Run Applications)" OR     Pess Alt+F2
    • type "windows"
    • press Enter.
    • If the above steps are not working, try running the following command in the terminal. rdesktop -a 24 -d cs -f windows.cs.ucr.edu
  • To Check your Grade : Grade Enquiry
  • Raise your hand if you are in trouble with a task. I will try to solve it.
  • When I am grading your assignment, I will deduct point(s) for unhandled fault/error(s).
