WWWTurnin Help for CS010

If you are turning in an assignment for the first time, you may want to open a separate browser to turn it in so you can keep referring to this webpage as you follow each step.

Step 1: Login to the "Students" section of the CS secure server, https://www.cs.ucr.edu/. Use the same login and password you use to login to the lab machines.

Step 2: Click the link for the WWWTurnin found on the left under "Student Commands".

Step 3: Choose cs010 from the drop-down-box on the top and click the button.

Step 4: Choose the correct assignment folder to turn it into. Home programming assignments will need to be turned in to the folder for your lab section. Homework will most likely have one folder for all cs010 students.

Step 5: Type in the directory where your assignment is located. If you have followed the steps outlined in the tutorial for lab 1, you should have a directory called CS10 in your home directory. Inside the CS10 directory should be the directory for your assignment. So, if you are turning in Home Programming Assignment #1 and you used the name as1 for the directory, the path you should type in should look something like this:

CS10/as1

You should not type in H:/CS10/as1 or home/csmajs/your_login/CS10/as1.

Step 6: Type in your password and click the button, "Turnin Assignment".

You should now see a page that says "Turnin Complete". If you get an error message instead, use the back button on your browser and start from Step 4 again.

Step 7: Verify you have turned in the correct file. You should see a box that lists the files you turned in. Make sure the file you meant to turn in is listed there and it is the correct path.

CONGRATULATIONS!!

You have turned in your assignment. If done correctly, you should now have an email in your CS account listing the files you turned in as well as the time stamp given to the turnin.
