We drove to Onion Valley on Saturday, October 9, getting there around 11am.

On Saturday, we hiked to Golden Trout Lake. It's a steep 5 mile hike. We made a few stops to rest, and take pictures or fish , fish , or admire the views . We reached the lake around 2pm. We started heading back around 3pm. We reached the campground around 4:30pm, set the camp, had dinner and went to bed.

On Sunday, we hiked to Kearsage Pass, passing several gorgeous lakes on our way. We reached the pass around noon. We made it, over 29,000 feet without oxygen! On the way back we stopped at one lake for a swim , brrr.
