0. Something you need to know before doing the lab assignments

0.1 Dont' be late for more than 5 minutes.

0.2 Make sure to show your results to me before leaving.

1. How to get a CS account?

Go to  http://csedept.cs.ucr.edu/account/new_account/, and follow the instructions. You need to visit it within the CS network.

2. Forgot the password or username?

Do the steps above again and retrieve your username/password.

3. How to access Windows from CS' s linux machine?

On the desktop of the linux machine: click Applications--> Accessories --> Terminal, type "Windows" using keyboard, hit Enter, and log in with your CS account and password.

Week 2

1. Lab assignment:

(1) Any two from Chapter 3: 1, 2, 3, 4

(2) Any two from Chapter 3: 5, 6, 7

2. Week 2 lab assignment must be graded before the end of week 3 lab session.

Week 1

1. Lab assignment:

(1) Any one from Chapter 1: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

(2) Any one from Chapter 2.1: a, b or c

(3) Any two from Chapter 2.2: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

2. Week 1 lab assignment must be graded before the end of week 2 lab session.
