My Short Story

I spent 4 wonderful years as a Ph.D student in UCR CSE department, under the supervision of Dr. Tao Jiang between 2008-2012. My research interest focused on designing tools and algorithms for the next generation sequencing (NGS) data, especially RNA-Seq data. My training in CS and algorithm enabled me to become a postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Xiaole Shirley Liu's lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard School of Public Health between 2012-2018.

Before coming to UCR, I received a Bachelor and Master degree of Computer Science in Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.

Research and Softwares

A short summary of my research experience at UCR can be found here.

Several softwares are developed by me and my colleagues, including IsoLasso, CEM, ISP, IsoInfer, and so on.

I also provide some useful tools, including a RNA-Seq read simulator, and a collection of useful scripts written by me. Feel free to use them and contact me if you have questions.

Publications

My publications at UCR are listed here. A complete list of pubications can be found on my current lab page.
