Don't miss you anymore

Don't miss you anymore

As i look in your eyes
I dont see the beauty i once surmised
I have set myself free
Knowing that we can never be

Suddenly i see you as cold and harsh
The fire in you has lost its spark
Tender things i once felt for you
Have gone away and i dont feel so blue

I say goodbye not to you
But to those feelings that were so true
I saw you wrapped in his arms
and suddenly you lost all your charm

You once followed those with an alternative air
I would have followed you anywhere
Now you follow sports and brew
You are not the person i once knew

I guess the edge of life it goes
Especially to one who has received so many blows
I am not ready to give up my goal
There will be another who will make me whole.
