Major rules:

• Labs are worth 20 points (5 points for attendance;15 points for work)
• Must be in lab in the first 20 minutes to receive the 5 attendance points
• If you miss lab, then please bring a doctor's note or another document that explains why you missed the lab.
• Please show me your lab before leaving otherwise you won't receive any credit for the lab

How to open a CS account:

• If you don't have a CS account, ask me. You need your Student ID and Permanent PIN to open a CS account.

How to access MS Office 2007 from Linux in the LAB:

• You have to first log in to Windows operating system.
• Open TERMINAL(Under APPLICATIONS >> ACCESSARIES >> TERMINAL)
• Type "windows" and press enter. Windows log in screen will show up.
• Enter your user name and password.
• Now from the left side of the windows taskbar, point to and then click the start button.
• From the displayed start menu, locate the Word program, and then click Microsoft Office Word 2007.

Some things to note:

• The assignments in the Lab manual are self-explanatory. You just need to follow the steps as stated in the manual. If you face any problem, just ask me.
• Download files using Mozilla Firefox
• Right click the file and select "Save Target As" or "Save Link As"
• You can skip the print operation.
