Inter-Instruction Effects:     circuit state
•For Example, consider this loop:                                   XOR    BX, 1                                                         ADD    AX, DX                                                    •The base costs of the XOR and ADD instructions are 319.2 and 313.6 mA. The expected base cost would be their average, 316.4, but in actuality the cost is 323.3. This is because the base costs are determined while executing the same instruction over and over again.
