Inter-Instruction Effects
•When sequences of instructions are considered,
certain inter-instruction effects come into play, which are not reflected
in the
cost computed solely from base costs.
•Here are the three areas in which this occurs; circuit
state, resource constraints, and cache misses. This is an overview since the paper
becomes slightly more involved.
