I count myself very fortunate to be a PhD student at the CS&E department here at UCR. It is here that I have learned to reason deeply and to fully enjoy research – once exposed to these pleasures, there is no way back.
While I have been working on my PhD, two other important events have happened in my life: my older daughter graduated with her undergraduate degree and my younger daughter graduated from high school and left for university. Now when I and my husband are left by ourselves, I appreciate even more having exciting research to keep me busy.
