Computer Science 8 - Lab 8
In this week's lab you are going to work through an on-line
tutorial that will show you how to create a web page using HTML (Hyper
Text Markup Language).
There are lots of HTML tutorials on the web. The one you
will use for this lab is from PageTutor.com. This tutorial is
divided into a series of lessons. You should go through lessons 1 -
14 and 19 (you can skip lessons 15 - 18 and 20 - 24).
Before you start, a few things to note:
- The web pages that make up the tutorial contain enough
advertisements that finding the link to go to the next lesson is not
always easy. Look for a large blue NEXT
link near the bottom of each page.
- Each lesson has you start with a brand new web page. However, at
the end of the lab, you are going to need to show the HTML page you
create to your TA, so do not start over with a new HTML page
with each lesson. The web page you show your TA when you complete the
lessons should contain examples from all of the lessons.
- Some lessons have FAQ sections where more advanced
examples are given. You do not have to do any of the FAQ
examples.
