CS234 Computational Methords for the Analysis of Biomolecular Data

Course Discription

A staggering wealth of data has being generated by genome sequencing projects and other efforts to determine the structures and functions of biological systems. This advanced graduate course will focus on a selection of computational problems aimed at automatically analyze, cluster and classify biomolecular data.

Paper Presentation

I presented a very interesting paper from Columbia University. It used two heuristic methods to make a regular PPI network more informative in terms of its biological characteristics.

Project Discription

My project takes in two PPI networks as input. Then calculate the network diameters, clustering coefficients, rich club connectivity and clique information about the 2 networks and compared the result.
