PersonalBeijing is a large city almost the same in scale as Chicago. It's different from LA in that the weather is more extreme. You will find humid hot days in summer and freezing temperature in winter. Personally I think autumn is the best season in Beijing. And fortunately, the 2008 Olympics will perform at that time.I was brought up in this political, cultural and educational center of China. People in Beijing are more like those who live in New York: We don't like to travel. However, coming to the US is a big change in my life. So far I have visited more states here than I did to the provinces in China. I am deeply impressed by the mild weather of Wisconsin in summer, the absolutely spectacular Lake Superior in Michigan, the homelike Chicago, the Kentucky derby, the soy beans and corns in Indiana, the mountainous West Virginia and so on. Facing up with the new challenges is one of the excited moments in life. Hopefully I will enjoy the time here in Riverside. Last Updated on: Oct. 5th, 2008 |
