• Labs are worth 20 points: 5 pts for attendance, 15 pts for lab assignment.
• You should be in lab within the first 20 minutes to receive the 5 attendance pts.
• You should show me your work before you leave the lab in order to receive the remaining 15 pts.
• You may leave the lab when you are done with the assignment.
• If you miss a lab, you will need a doctor's note or other evidence of a serious situation to make up for that lab.

• Assignments are chapters from the manual: "O! with MS Office 2007, Introductory, Custom Edition, by Gaskin"
• You should bring your manual to all the labs and follow all the steps in the manual except for printing the documents.
• All assignments are done in MS Office 2007 on Windows operating system. Check "How to access MS Office 2007" below.
• For some assignments you will need to download several files. You can find all the necessary files in the table below.
• Plase skip the "Print" operations in the manual.

Lab Assignments

• Assignment: MS PowerPoint, Chapter 15A and 15B from the manual (pages 917-960)

• Assignment: MS PowerPoint, Chapter 16A and 16B from the manual (pages 995-1038)

1. First you should open Windows and then open MS Office 2007, here is how:
   How to access MS Office 2007 from Linux in the LAB:
   • You have to first log in to Windows operating system. Open Terminal(Applications->Accessories-> Terminal).
   • Type windows and press enter. Windows log in screen will show up.
   • Enter your user name and password.
   • Now from the left side of the windows taskbar, point to and then click the start button.
   • From the displayed start menu, locate the Microsoft Office Word/Excel/Access/PowerPoint 2007 program, and then click and open.
2. You should save your work under the network drive. (Under My Computer\Z:\)
3. If the assignment requires some files, then download them from the table below.
4. Show me your work once you are done.
5. Log out from Windows(Start->Log off) and Linux(System->Log out) before you leave.

• Open the page with Mozilla Firefox.
• Right click the file and click "save link as" to download the file.
