Part 1:
Obtain a login name and password from the TA to login to the lab machines.
Part 2:
Click the link below and follow the steps to set up your file directories and write your first programs.
Part 3:
Turn in the program from Part 2 using the WWWturnin found in the student section of the CS department's secure server. You can use the link provided on the CS10 class webpage http://www.cs.ucr.edu/cs10/cs10_05spr/cs10_05spr.html to access this website.
Be sure to choose the correct project folder for your lab section. The folder you should turn in your program to will be called lab_1-sec-(number). If you accidently turn in your project to the wrong folder, just turn it in again to the correct folder. Also, you may turn in a project to a folder as many times as you want. We will only grade the last project turned in.
Make sure you get a message stating a successful turnin with the correct
file name. Let the TA know when you have completed this. He will verify your
file was turned in properly.
DO NOT LEAVE LAB WITHOUT VERIFYING YOU HAVE TURNED IN A FILE CORRECTLY!!
Part 4:
To read your cs email, login at this website, https://www.cs.ucr.edu/twig. Use the login and password you got from your TA. If you successfully turned in your program from part 3, you should see an email verifying this.
Every week you will get an email to this account with grades for all assignments that have been graded by that mailing.
Part 5:
Verify you have been automatically signed up for the class mailing list. Go to the class webpage and click on the link to the CS10 mailing list. Then click on the button "Visit Subscriber list" near the bottom of the page. Find "your_login at cs.ucr.edu". If it is not there follow the procedures to subscribe to the mailing list. Most important announcements and assignment hints will be sent to this list.
Post one message to the list. You can send a message to the list by sending email to cs10@lists.cs.ucr.edu.
